Our Story: Since 1987
FasTaco was established in 1987 by Bob Aumuller, Steve Bockrath, and Albert Vasquez. These three partners were at one time working as supervisors for another company in Texas that sold Mexican fast food. One day they decided they could make a better, higher quality product than the company they were working for and FasTaco was born.
The Birth of FasTaco: Crafting a Flavorful Success
With their combined experience in fast food, business management, and franchise operations, the three partners felt ready to develop their new Mexican restaurant. They met regularly at a favorite spot to discuss plans and aimed to offer the same food and exceptional service they enjoyed. The restaurant owner shared tips on creating hot sauce, and after much experimentation, they developed a unique sauce that became a key factor in FasTaco's success.
FasTaco’s Early Growth: From Burleson to Crowley!
In 1988, the partners opened their first FasTaco in Burleson, Texas, where they refined recipes and procedures. These early years shaped FasTaco’s direction, from flavors to operational techniques. As the Burleson location gained loyal customers and exceeded expectations, the partners opened a second restaurant in Crowley, Texas, expanding the menu and perfecting their business model.
FasTaco: From Local Success to Franchising!
The second FasTaco in Crowley was embraced by the community, continuing the brand’s focus on fresh, high-quality ingredients. With loyal customers growing, the partners opened a third location in Joshua in 2005 and a fourth in Cleburne in 2011. In 2007, FasTaco Franchising Inc. was established to expand the brand while maintaining its strong reputation, offering others the chance to operate a fun, profitable business and grow the FasTaco family across Texas and beyond.
